Backtesting Metric Transformation and Overlays

If you have added any metric transformations or overlays to your chart, you can also backtest either category of variable. This can feature can come in handy when you want to backtest the percentile rank or a period rank of a metric, as opposed to the raw metric value that appears on the chart by default.

For example, let's say you've added the 100-period percentage rank of a metric to your chart. To replace raw value with the percentage rank as the metric unit in your backtest, simply change the Backtest Settings from Metric to Percent Rank Metric.

The Backtest Settings dropdown will autofill whatever metric transformation or overlay you have applied.
