Metric Overlays
Metric overlays help smooth metric values or to identify extreme values, over a given lookback period.
Metric Simple Moving Average
Add an n-period simple moving average to the metric pane.
To filter and backtest the simple moving average of the metric change the Backtest Settings from Metric to SMA Metric.
Metric Exponential Moving Average
Add an n-period exponential moving average to the metric pane.
To filter and backtest the exponential moving average of the metric change the Backtest Settings from Metric to EMA Metric.
Metric Bollinger Bands (Test Upper)
Add n-period Bollinger Bands to the metric pane.
This transformation will calculate the percentage distance that the metric itself is from the Upper Bollinger Band. A value above 0 indicates the metric is above the Upper Bollinger Band, and a value below 0 indicates the metric is below the Upper Bollinger Band.
To filter and backtest the Bollinger Band of the metric change the Backtest Settings from Metric to Distance from Upper Bollinger.
Metric Bollinger Bands (Test Lower)
Add n-period Bollinger Bands to the metric pane.
This transformation will calculate the percentage distance that the metric itself is from the Lower Bollinger Band. A value above 0 indicates the metric is above the Lower Bollinger Band, and a value below 0 indicates the metric is below the Lower Bollinger Band.
To filter and backtest the Bollinger Band of the metric change the Backtest Settings from Metric to Distance from Lower Bollinger.
